Kentucky State Police Promotes 48 Officers

ksp news 300FRANKFORT, KY. (12/9/13) - The Kentucky State Police recognized the promotion of 48 officers throughout the state at a ceremony held today at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort. One lieutenant colonel, two majors, nine captains, 12 lieutenants and 24 sergeants were commissioned.
 
Effective August 1, 2013, the following officers were promoted:
●Major Howard L. Logue, Jr. to Lieutenant Colonel, Administrative Division as Director. A resident of Richmond, Logue is a 23-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Captain John M. Bradley to Major, Technical Services Division as Chief Information Officer. A resident of Frankfort, Bradley is a 17-year veteran of the agency.
 
Effective August 16, 2013, the following officer was promoted:
 
●Facilities Security Officer Harry E. Rose to Sergeant, Facilities Security Branch. A resident of Lawrenceburg, Rose is a six-year veteran of the agency.
 
Effective December 1, 2013, the following officer was promoted:
 
●Captain Chad E. White to Major, Administrative Division, Operational Support Troop as commander. A resident of New Castle, White is a 16-year veteran of the agency.
 

Effective November 16, 2013, the following officers were promoted:
●Lieutenant Shane Bates to Captain, Criminal Identification and Records Branch as commander. A resident of Crestwood, Bates is a 16-year veteran of the agency.
 
●CVE Lieutenant Jonathan G. Blevins to Captain, Region 3, Georgetown as commander. A resident of Frankfort, Blevins is a 14-year veteran of the agency.

●Lieutenant John W. Clark to Captain, Post 3, Bowling Green as commander. A resident of Bowling Green, Clark is a 16-year veteran of the agency.
 
●CVE Lieutenant James R. Collins to Captain, Region 5, Morehead as commander. A resident of Hagerhill, Collins is a 13-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Lieutenant Glenn Todd Dalton to Captain, Internal Affairs Branch as commander. A resident of Somerset, Dalton is a 24-year veteran of the agency.

●Lieutenant Sean L. McKinney to Captain, West Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch as commander. A resident of Henderson, McKinney is a 12-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Lieutenant Anthony B. Taulbee to Captain, Post 6, Dry Ridge as commander. A resident of Virgie, Taulbee is a 15-year veteran of the agency.

●Lieutenant Sean P. Welch to Captain, Post 9, Pikeville as commander. A resident of Salyersville, Welch is a 19-year veteran of the agency.

●Lieutenant Jerry M. Wise to Captain, Driver Testing Branch as commander. A resident of Georgetown, Wise is a 23-year veteran of the agency.

●CVE Sergeant Kelly L. Anderson to Lieutenant, Region 2, Louisville. A resident of Bowling Green, Anderson is a 12-year veteran of the agency.

●Sergeant Christopher J. Crockett to Lieutenant, Electronic Crimes Branch as commander. A resident of Lexington, Crockett is an 18-year veteran of the agency.
 
●CVE Sergeant Nathaniel Day to Lieutenant, Region 6, Pikeville. A resident of Hazard, Day is a nine-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Sergeant William H. Elliotte to Lieutenant, Post 11, London. A resident of Williamsburg, Elliotte is a 17-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Sergeant Cindy L. Langer to Lieutenant, Post 7, Richmond. A resident of Nicholasville, Langer is a 20-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Sergeant Stacey D. May to Lieutenant, Post 3, Bowling Green. A resident of Dry Ridge, May is a 15-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Sergeant Kevin S. Minor to Lieutenant, Aircraft Branch. A resident of London, Minor is an 18-year veteran of the agency.

●Sergeant Richard P. Saint-Blancard to Lieutenant, Post 6, Dry Ridge. A resident of Petersburg, Saint-Blancard is an eight-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Sergeant Jennifer M. Sandlin to Lieutenant, Post 9, Pikeville. A resident of Hazard, Sandlin is a 10-year veteran of the agency.

●Sergeant Christopher D. Steward to Lieutenant, Post 7, Richmond. A resident of Independence, Steward is a 13-year veteran of the agency.

●Sergeant Kenneth P. Stewart to Lieutenant, Post 12, Frankfort. A resident of Shelbyville, Stewart is a 22-year veteran of the agency.

●Sergeant Trent B. Weaver to Lieutenant, Post 1, Mayfield. A resident of Murray, Weaver is a 16-year veteran of the agency.


Effective November 16, 2013, the following officers were promoted:

●Trooper First Class David N. Archer to Sergeant, Special Operations Branch- Canine Section. A resident of Symsonia, Archer is a 10-year veteran of the agency.
 
● Senior Trooper Justin P. Cornett to Sergeant, Post 9, Pikeville. A resident of Hindman, Cornett is a 16-year veteran of the agency.

● Senior Trooper Benjamin C. Cramer to Sergeant, Post 14, Ashland. A resident of Louisa, Cramer is an 11-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Trooper First Class Gerald A. Fieger, Jr., promoted to Sergeant, Post 6, Dry Ridge. A resident of Falmouth, Fieger is a 16-year veteran of the agency.
 
●CVE Officer II Michael B. Ford, to Sergeant, Region 2, Louisville. A resident of Scottsville, Ford is a six-year veteran of the agency.
 
●CVE Officer II Dewayne S. Koch, to Sergeant, Region 2, Louisville. A resident of Louisville, Koch is a six-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Trooper First Class McTavish L. McDonald to Sergeant, Post 6, Dry Ridge. A resident of Georgetown, McDonald is a 13-year veteran of the agency.
 
● Senior Trooper Jason A. Palmer to Sergeant, Legislative Security Branch and Facilities Security Branch as commander. A resident of Midway, Palmer is a 10-year veteran of the agency.
 
● Senior Trooper Norman W. Preston, III, to Sergeant, Criminal Identification and Records Branch. A resident of Lexington, Preston is a 13-year veteran of the agency.
 
●Trooper First Class Mack Rayburn, Jr., to Sergeant, Academy Branch. A resident of Frankfort, Rayburn is a 19-year veteran of the agency.
