According to a Kentucky State Police report, Trooper Jonathan Murphy conducted a traffic stop at approximately 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 on a Ford Ranger on U.S. 41 in Earlington. When speaking to the driver, William J. Lohse, 57, of Hanson, Murphy suspected Lohse was under the influence.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Two passengers in the vehicle, Amanda G. Braden, 35, of Hanson and Gwendolyn A. Browning, 34, of Nortonville were also arrested.
Lohse was charged with DUI, first offense, failure to wear seatbelt, possession of a controlled substance, first degree/first offense/meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
Braden was charged with failure to wear seatbelt, possession of a controlled substance, first degree/first offense/meth; possession of drug paraphernalia and execution of two warrants for another agency.
Browning was charged with failure to wear seatbelt, possession of controlled substance, first degree/first offense/meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and the execution of a warrant for another agency.
All three were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
