Held Sat. Jan. 25, at Muhlenberg County High School's West Campus, fishing enthusiasts from Muhlenberg County and beyond enjoyed a full day of swapping fish stories, and got a close-up look at some of the latest in lures, bait, rods and everything you need for a day on the water.

Mark Salsman, of Sonora, Ky. was the grand prize winner of a fishing trip to Kentucky Lake with the team's head coach, Cody Napier.

Salsman told SurfKY New he's excited about both the prize and watching the Mustang Bass Fishing Team grow.

"I know it will be fun to get out on the lake with Cody. He is a real pro. Plus it has been great to come out for the swap meet. It's a great way to help the team," said Salsman.

The Muhlenberg Mustang Bass Fishing Team did well at the state finals last season. Held at Kentucky Lake, the Mustangs' two-man teams came in second and fourth in the competition.
