Business Spotlight: Lady L's Cakes & Creations

Lady cakes(Photo credit Amber Averitt SurfKY News)MADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/19/14) — Located at 575 B McCoy Ave., Lady L's Cakes & Creations is a one-stop shop for sweets and treats.

“My daughter came up with the name,” said owner Lorie Perez. “I wanted something other than cakes in the title. So, that’s where creations came in.”

Perez said they make just about every pastry and confection one could possibly dream of.

“Whatever you want made, we will do it,” said Perez. “The only things we don’t do are 3D cakes.”

Perez said she used to be the general manager for Denny’s for 19 years but decided it wasn’t for her anymore.

“I decided after 19 years to venture off and do something else,” said Perez. “We first opened our doors back in August 2013.”

Perez said they will also be bringing back their dinners to go.

“We will be making casseroles for two, lasagna, chicken and ham salad croissants and potato salad,” said Perez. “Everything is made from scratch, even the meringue and whipping cream we use on the pies.”

Perez encourages everyone to stop by and try the variety of sweet treats they have to offer and their popular Cake Balls.

“Stop by for our treats, treats, sweet treats,” said Perez. “If we don’t have it, we will make it.”

Lady L's Cakes & Creations is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
