Nebo Woman Injured in Accident on Kentucky 70

Accident Injuries 01 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/21/14) — The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle, injury collision that occurred two miles west of Madisonville at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21 on Kentucky 70.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Stephanie Wells, 24 of Nebo, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Aztek east on Kentucky 70, when she lost control of her vehicle and exited the eastbound shoulder and entered a ditch. The vehicle overturned coming to final rest off the eastbound shoulder of the roadway.

Wells was transported by a family member to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Ben Sawyer investigated the collision. Richland Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
