MADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/21/14) – Madisonville roads may seem safer to local drivers since the thaw of ice and snow, but accidents can still happen due to potholes caused by the melted water seeping beneath pavement.
Dennis Farris, Superintendent at the Madisonville Transportation department says that this sea-son, the roads have been made quite a bit more dangerous by these holes due to the inclement conditions.
The department crew has already been hard at work filling six to eight small holes, and more streets will be maintained in the following weeks after an assessment, says Farris. He said his crew will divide the city into four sections to make sure they reach every street in the city. For more information about the potholes in your area, call (270) 824-2160.
