Nortonville Man Charged for Sex Abuse of Minor

Iarrest Frank ScheiderNORTONVILLE, Ky. (2/26/14) — A Hopkins County man has been arrested for unlawful transaction with a 14-year-old juvenile after a Hopkins County Sheriff's office investigation.

According to a Sheriff's report, deputies received a complaint Feb. 18 from the victim and her family advising that the victim was in a building where the suspect provided her with a pipe containing methamphetamine.

The victim told authorities that the suspect then made advances toward her.

After deputies submitted the complaint to the Hopkins County Attorney's Office, a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Deputies charged Frank W. Scheider, 52, of Doc Williams Road in Nortonville Tuesday, Feb. 25 with first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under age 16 and first-degree sexual abuse.

Scheider was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
