MANNINGTON, Ky. (3/10/14) — The Kentucky State Police arrested a Nortonville resident on drug-related charges at approximately 4:08 p.m. March 9.
KSP was conducting a traffic safety check point on US 41 near Mannington and while there, troopers observed a vehicle make a u-turn and speed off in the opposite direction.
Troopers caught up to the vehicle just inside of Christian County on Mannington Loop.
Through investigation, it was determined the operator of the vehicle, Jeffery Farmer, 53, of Nortonville was under the influence of methamphetamine. Troopers located suspected methamphetamine on the driver.
Farmer was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center on charges of failure to or improper signal, reckless driving, failure to produce insurance card, driving under the influence first offense, trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, first offense (methamphetamine).
