DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (3/12/14) — A Hopkins County man has been charged by Kentucky State Police for offenses related to child exploitation.
According to a KSP report, an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation began in February after the Madisonville Police Department received a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Daniel M. Adcock, 33, of Dawson Springs allegedly using the internet to solicit children for explicit photos and sexual performances.
Prior to Adcock's arrest, electronic equipment used to facilitate the offense had been seized and forensically examined, the report said.
At approximately 9:27 a.m., KSP Det. Dan Morck executed an arrest warrant for Adcock at his residence on Sixth Vein Road.
Adcock was charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity or other prohibited activities. Both charges are Class D felonies.Adcock is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
