“The pest control got started in 1973 as Nick’s Termite & Pest Control,” said owner Jeff Nickleson. “It started out with my grandfather, father and uncle.”
As the community's needs grew, so did the business.
“To accompany the pest control, structural needs were needed,” said Nickleson. “People were needing more than every now and again pest control. So, we grew a construction side and our main principal is to have a quality job done at a fair price.”
Nickleson said that it is important to make sure his staff returns calls promptly, work is performed quickly and efficiently.
“It seemed like the economy in this area was missing some good old-fashioned courtesy to accompany the service,” said Nickleson. “We get a lot of horror stories from community members using another pest control place. Either phone calls weren’t being returned or someone not showing up. So, we try diligently to make sure to show each customer how special they are to us. It seems to have worked out great so far, people keep calling us back.”
Nickleson said on the pest control division of the business, customers can expect removal of any pests from termites to rodents.
On the construction side of things, customers can expect wind, water and fire remediation along with roofing, siding, gutters, windows, additions and decks with guaranteed quality service.
“All of this can be preventative at an economical rate,” said Nickleson. “On the construction side, whatever you can dream up, we can fix it.”
Nickleson said its business hours vary.
“Depending on what the need of the customer, we try to accommodate them,” said Nickleson. “Typically, our hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., but if there is a deadline or emergency, we will do all we can to make sure that everything gets done in a timely manner as we promise. We are pretty flexible.”
Nick’s Pest Management & Home Repairs is located on 80 Curtis Mine Road in Madisonville.
