MADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/14/14) — Madisonville Police witnessed a vehicle driving east on West McLaughlin at high speed rate Thursday, March 13.
According to the Madisonville Police report, Officer Paul Haynie clocked Dustin Kent Wallace, 24, going 55 mph in a 35 mph speed zone.
Upon contact with Wallace, Haynie observed the operator to be extremely nervous and jittery.
During a sobriety test, Wallace was unable to follow simple instructions, he could not stay balanced, eyes were unsteady and was he was unable to count, the report said.
Wallace was charged with speeding in a restricted zone and operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.He is currently lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
