WHITE PLAINS, Ky. (3/16/14) – Kentucky State Police has arrested a Hanson man on drug-related charges.
Trooper Cody Kromer conducted a traffic stop for failure to illuminate rear license plate at approximately 10:24 p.m. Friday, March 14 on Kentucky 813 at Bob Bruce Lane.
According to a KSP report, the driver, Edward Taylor, 57, of Hanson, was impaired. Through the investigation, Trooper Kromer located two pills on Taylor identified by poison control as oxymorphone and also a bag of methamphetamine.
Trooper Kromer charged Taylor with the following offenses possession of controlled substance first degree, first offense/methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of controlled substance, second degree, drug unspecified; prescription not in proper container; rear license plate not illuminated; and, driving under the influence, first offense.
Taylor was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center
Trooper Kromer was assisted on the scene by Trooper Joseph Bartolotti.
