MPD Seizes Large Cache of Synthetic Marijuana

drugarrest 300 cMADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/17/14) — An investigation by the Madisonville Police Department led to a March 12th search warrant for a Madisonville residence that turned up a large amount of various drugs.

According to a Madisonville Police report, officers Paul Haynie and Falon Graham were assisted by the Madisonville Vice/Narcotics Unit in executing the warrant at 686 Gordon Avenue.

During the search, officers seized approximately 10 pounds of synthetic cannabinoids (enough for about 9,000 single doses or cigarettes), methamphetamine, anabolic steroids and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation concluded that the synthetic cannabinoids were manufactured at the residence and that it had an estimated street value of $70,000.

Also charged was Jordan L. Wilson, 25, of Madisonville with trafficking in a synthetic drug and second-degree possession of a controlled substance (anabolic steroid).
