Dawson Springs Man Charged for Second Sex Offender Registry Violation

sex offender wellsDAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (3/23/14) — Dawson Springs Police Capt. Craig Patterson charged a Dawson Springs man Saturday, March 22 with failure to comply with the sex offender registry, his second offense.

According to a Dawson Springs Police report, Patterson conducted a sex offender registry compliance check and determined that Robert J. Wells, 37, had moved from his Locust Street address on March 4 and was living at a Niles Road address.

Patterson determined that Wells had previously been convicted for failing to register as a sex offender in 2013 having been released from the Hopkins County Jail in October.

He is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
