Madisonville Man Wanted for Thefts in Murray, Hardin

Theft red 300MURRAY, Ky. (3/25/14) — A warrant for a Madisonville man has been issued after an investigation into thefts from Dollar General Stores in Murray and Hardin, Ky.

According to a press release from the Murray Police Department, the search for an alleged shoplifter from the Murray Dollar General Store were published on the Internet and several calls from the public came in, which identified the man as William Les Fugate, 49, of Madisonville.

After the investigation began, Murray police identified Fugate as stealing from the Dollar General Store in Hardin as well. The police report stated that Fugate was a vendor at various area flea markets including Paducah and Union City, Tenn.

A warrant has been issued for Fugate for theft by unlawful taking, a Class A Misdemeanor.
