Madisonville Man Arrested for DUI After Injury Collision

James Jones dui arrestMADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/2/14) — A Madisonville man was injured in a single vehicle collision and later arrested for DUI at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 on Brown Road in Madisonville.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Trooper Jonathan Ward saw a 2003 Ford F150 flipped over on its driver's side in the middle of Brown Road.

The operator, James Jones, 29, of Madisonville, was out of the vehicle, sitting on the side of the road holding a towel over his lacerated arm.

Medical Center EMS treated Jones at the scene. Jones refused to be transported to the hospital.

Trooper Ward determined that Jones had been driving impaired. Jones was arrested and charged with reckless driving, failure of owner to maintain insurance, first offense and driving under the influence, first offense.

Trooper Bob Winters and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
