(4/8/14) — Madisonville Police responded to a disturbance call from Kroger about a man refusing to leave store property Monday, April 7.

According to the Madisonville Police report, officers made contact with Justin Ryan Tawyea, 25, of Redondo, Calif., outside the store asking for money.

Management advised officers that they had asked him to leave the property several times, but he refused stating he wouldn’t leave until he had enough money for a hotel room.

Officers observed that Tawyea smelled strongly of alcohol and had a slurred speech. Officers also located an open 12-pack of beer next to his belongings, the report said.

He is currently being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
