MADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/14/14) ― Kentucky State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian at 5:08 p.m. Sunday, April 13.
According to a KSP report, Karen W. Daniels, 50, of Madisonville, was driving a 2003 Mercury Sable south on South Main Street when she stopped in the right travel lane to offer a ride to Sarah A. Fraley, 19, also of Madisonville, who was walking on the sidewalk.
As Fraley walked around the vehicle to enter the back driver's side, Amy M. Terry, 37, of Madisonville, was driving a 2001 GMC Safari van headed south and struck the left side of Daniels' vehicle also striking Fraley.
Fraley was transported by Medical Center Ambulance to Baptist Health, where she was pronounced dead by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield.
The drivers of the vehicles were uninjured.Trooper Luis Palmer is continuing the investigation. Sgt. Nick Rice, Trooper Jeff Ayres, Trooper Nathan Craft and Madisonville Police also assisted at the scene.
