taco-bell-car-fire(Photo courtesy Kimberly Benson)CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (4/21/14) — Did someone order something extra hot?

Central City Fire Department Chief told SurfKY News that no report was filed when a vehicle fire took place Wednesday, April 16, at the Central City Taco Bell location on Everly Brothers Boulevard. According to King, no one was hurt and no names were available.

King said that the unnamed male driver of the van was taking a test drive when he got more than he bargained for in this red hot deal. The van engine caught on fire from an unknown cause. King said the vehicle's owner lives in Greenville.

When the flames became apparent, the driver apparently decided it was time to run for the border.

No one was in danger and the engine fire was extinguished quickly, King said.

No word on whether the vehicle was purchased by the unnamed test driver, or what type of hot sauce may have been accidentally dripped on the engine.

It was obviously extra hot.
