wreck on north main

UPDATE:

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/24/14) — The Madisonville Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision that injured three people at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, April 24.

According to a MPD report, Thomas E. Blanchard, 48, of Dawson Springs was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet S-10 north on North Main while Dillion Ellis, 21, was driving a blue Ford Taurus directly behind Blanchard.

The report said Ellis attempted to pass Blanchard on the right and struck the pickup in the rear.

Ellis lost control of the Taurus, which skidded 180 degrees in the road and then struck the North Main Street curb just north of Pebble Creek Drive. The vehicle then traveled another 100 yards through a ditch and came to rest on an embankment.

Madisonville Fire Department, Madisonville Police Department, Medical Center Ambulance and Raymond's Wrecker Service responded to the scene.

Ellis and his passengers, Pamela J. Wiseman, 20, Madisonville, Shantea N. Woodruff, 21, Corydon, Ky., and Jason M. Frazier, 27, Central City, were all transported to Baptist Health for evaluation and treatment. Blanchard was not injured.
