NEBO, Ky. (4/24/14) ― Kentucky State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury collision at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, April 24 that occurred on U.S. 41A approximately three miles south of Nebo.
According to a KSP report, Jason Hutchinson, 43, Madisonville, was operating a 2004 Honda VTX1300 motorcycle headed south on U.S. 41A, when he lost control entering a curve. The vehicle crossed over the center line and sideswiped a 2008 Freightliner driven by Brandon S. Austin, 27, Madisonville. Hutchinson then continued and struck a 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Larry B. Ayres, 60, Princeton. Hutchinson's motorcycle then crossed the southbound lane, exited the shoulder and came to a final rest off the southbound shoulder.
Hutchinson was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. He was not wearing a helmet. No passengers were involved.
Ayres was also transported to Baptist Health for treatment. Ayres was wearing a seatbelt. No passengers were involved.Trooper Nathan Craft investigated the collision. Nebo Rescue Squad and Providence Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
