DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (4/30/14) — The city of Dawson Springs and the office of Adventure Tourism unveiled the new 'Trail Town' highway signs at the intersection of Kentucky 62 and Kentucky 109 in downtown Dawson Springs.

Dawson Springs is one of the two Kentucky Trail Towns.

Kentucky Trail Towns is a designation as part of a development program that helps communities connect to the local trail systems, develop and enhance town products and services.

“These signs will help pull travelers off the interstate,” said Elaine Wilson of Adventure Tourism. “Now, we can (entice) people to come here to do all different types of activities and explore the whole Pennyrile area. Being a trail town means that you will have a plan that will take you far into the future.”
