MADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/2/14) — Madisonville community members and city officials gathered around the old courthouse to celebrate the National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 1.
National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday in May, where community members of all faiths join together to pray for the nation.
The hour-long celebration was opened by Bro. Jason Whitaker, who graciously introduced fellow presenters.
Other presenters included Hopkins County Judge-Executive Donnie Carroll, Madisonville Mayor David Jackson, Bro. Shannon Embry, Bro. Shalmon Radford, Bro. Chuck Evans, Tom Clinton, James Bowles and music by The Space Between.
