Wittmer clinicThe Wittmer Clinic (Photo Taylor Riley/SurfKY News reporter)MADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/5/14) — Dr. Bret Wittmer founded Commonwealth Biomedical Research in 2001, but even after his passing in May of 2012, the business continued in his honor, under a new name: The Wittmer Clinic.

Amy Haynie began her role as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner of The Wittmer Clinic in April 2014. She, along with her nurses, provide services in pediatrics for children from 3 days old to 21 months. The clinic provides checkups, sick visits, and chronic conditions for families with all types of insurance.

"We love kids," said Haynie. "We try to take care of everything they need."

Haynie told SurfKY that through her work as an NIC RN for 20 years at Ft. Cambell, she treated kids with unusual conditions from all over the world, helping her to become a better nurse. The Wittmer Clinic sees patients with all types of medical conditions, including asthma to ADHD.

The Wittmer Clinic is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The clinic is located at 240 E. Ayr Parkway. For more information, visit cwbr1.com.
