ST. CHARLES, Ky. (5/9/14) — Kentucky State Police has charged two Hopkins County men for drug-related offenses.
KSP Troopers Jonathan Murphy, Joseph Bartolotti and Cody Kromer were assisting the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office in serving two subjects on outstanding warrants at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at a St. Charles residence.
During the investigation, several drugs, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash were discovered.
Trooper Murphy charged Steven E. Gary, 39, Dawson Springs, with hindering prosecution or apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, first offense, less than two grams.
Murphy charged Jonathan R. Ruby, 34, White Plains, with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, less than two grams.
The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office charged both men on outstanding warrants.
Both men were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.Trooper Murphy is continuing the investigation.
