DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (5/14/14) ― Two Hopkins County residents have been charged in connection with the theft of a recreation vehicle.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Trooper First Class John Komar executed an arrest warrant at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 on William L. Davis, Jr., 28, Dawson Springs, for theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000. Davis was already incarcerated at the Hopkins County Jail on unrelated charges.
Also, Trooper Komar charged Candice S. Barber, 21, Madisonville with theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000 and attempted theft by extortion. Barber was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
The arrests resulted from an investigation Komar began in March involving a recreational vehicle that was stolen form private property in Dawson Springs.
