payne-arrestMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/30/14) — After the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force obtained a warrant for a Nortonville woman, she was arrested by the Madisonville Police Department Friday, May 23.

According to a PNTF press release, an arrest warrant was executed for Virginia D. Payne, 27, for two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth.

Payne was being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on charges from an April 16 drug sting in St. Charles. She had previously been charged with tampering with physical evidence, trafficking in a controlled stubstance, first degree, first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, third degree and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
