Failure to Signal, Turns into DUI, Meth Possession Arrest

drug arrest meth 03 300-copMADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/2/14) — Madisonville Police conducted a traffic stop on driver, who failed to signal traveling east on Dulin Street Sunday, June 1.

According to a Madisonville Police report, upon initial contact, Officer Justin Jones observed Traci Arin Laughary, 30, Madisonville, having dilated pupils and a rapid speech.

The report said Laughary consented to a sobriety test, which she failed. She also consented to a search of her vehicle, where Jones found a bag of suspected meth inside a purse. She advised Jones that the meth in the bag was hers and that she had just purchased it at the Victoria Trailer Park, the report said.

Laughary was charged with failure to use/or improper signal, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (meth).

She is currently being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
