GREENVILLE, Ky. (6/4/14) — Craig Hardison and his mother, Doris Knight, started Country Roads Auto Sales and Powersports in 2012, and moved to the current location of 615 Greene Drive in Greenville in April 2013.

Country Roads Auto Sales and Powersports primarily sell UTVs, which is short for Utility Terrain Vehicle. Country Roads is one of only three Massimo dealers in the tri-state area and one of two dealers for the LANDmaster series of UTVs.

"The LANDmaster is the only UTV which is 100 percent made in the United States," Hardison said.

Hardison said that most of his sales are online sales due to the lack of dealers across the country. Country Roads does have strong local sales as they honor all warranties and complete repairs on location.

Country Roads also has a selection of cars on the lot.

"My family has been in the car business since 2012,” said Knight. “We keep a small amount of good quality cars available for our customers."

When asked how the family got started in the UTV and ATV business, Knight said they bought a child's ATV for her grandson. He liked it so much they decided to sell them for Christmas. They sold 40 units. After that, Massimo approached them to start a dealership. Now, they sell a full line of Massimo and LANDmaster products.

The Knight family has strong ties to the Muhlenberg County area. Doris Knight is a retired school teacher for Muhlenberg County Schools and Craig Hardison has 16 years of service in the United States Air Force and 12 years as a police officer in California.

Hardison was a criminal investigator for the Air Force and he took those skills to his job as a police officer in California. He has now retired in Muhlenberg to work with his mother running Country Auto Sales and Powersports.

Country Auto Sales and Powersports sells a full line ATVs, UTVs, scooters and automobiles.
