Assault Arrest on Nisbet Street

DeAndre-BessDeAndre Jamar BessMADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/9/14) — Madisonville Police were dispatched to the report of an assault that took place on Nisbet Street Saturday, June 7.

According to a Madisonville Police report, the victim told police that DeAndre Jamar Bess, 23, Madisonville, was in her apartment when she arrived home. The victim advised police that Bess choked her and spit on her face and he was verbally abusive the night before.

The victim also told police that she contacted the police because Bess had grabbed her hair, pulled across the carpet and ripped off her shorts. The victim didn’t want to press charges, just to have Bess removed from the residence, the report said.

Bess was charged with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence with no visible injuries.
