Controlled Buy in Hanson Results in Drug Arrest

biggers-arrestHANSON, Ky. (6/11/14) — A Henderson man was arrested in Hanson by the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office after a controlled buy was conducted in joint action with the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force Tuesday, June 10.

According to a Hopkins County Sheriff's report, investigators from the HCSO and officers from the PNTF conducted the buy at 6 p.m. with Joseph A. Biggers of Henderson for Hydrocodone. Deputies were standing by to execute a traffic stop after the transaction. When stopping the vehicle, Biggers was found to be driving on a suspended operator's license, and had possession of the recorded buy money.

Biggers was charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and operating on a suspended operator's license.

He is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
