MADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/18/14) — The Madisonville 4thFest Committee is pleased to announce that a new event has been added to the fourth annual Madisonville 4thFest celebration.

The iRecycle Regatta is a boat race that will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Madisonville City Park swimming pool. The objective of the race is to build a two person-powered floatation device made of mostly recycled material.

Mayor David Jackson plans to participate in the race and is excited that a fun event such as this can bring family and friends together while also promoting recycling efforts within our great city.

Rules and registration forms can be found by visiting www.GoMadisonville.com and using the search word “regatta”. For questions or additional information, please call city hall at (270) 824-2101.

Madisonville 4thFest is sponsored the City of Madisonville, First United Bank & Trust Co, Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission and Madisonville Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce.
