HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (6/23/14) — The Kentucky State Police arrested two Dawson Springs residents on stolen property charges.
A joint investigation between the Kentucky State Police and Dawson Springs Police Department began June 17, 2014 after a Dawson Springs resident had reported jewelry missing from her home.
An 81 year old female reported hiring Matthew Foe to do odd jobs around her home. After Mr. Foe completed work at the residence the homeowner noticed several items of jewelry missing. Several pieces of the stolen jewelry were recovered from pawn shops in Madisonville and Dawson Springs. Those items had been pawned by Mr. Foe and Antony Clark.
Trooper Bob Winters charged the following individuals:
Matthew D. Foe, 27, of Dawson Springs - Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 ( D Felony )
Antony W. Clark, 20, of Dawson Springs - Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 ( D Felony )
Both individuals were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
During the investigation it was discovered that Matthew Foe had been to several other homes in the Dawson Springs area soliciting work.If anyone has information relating to this investigation they are encouraged to contact Trooper Winters at (270) 676-3313.
