MADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/23/14) — Madisonville Police received a DUI complaint call at the South Main Street Burger King Saturday, June 21.
According to the Madisonville Police report, upon arrival, officers observed Stephanie Ann Walker, 41, Earlington getting into driver's side of a vehicle. After contact was made, officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, the report said.
The report said Walker failed a sobriety test, and she admitted to officers that she was under the influence.
Also according to the report, there were four juveniles under the age of 12 in the car.
After Walker’s arrival at the Hopkins County Detention Center, officers noticed a baggie in the floorboard of the patrol car. The bag contained a small blue pill that was identified as a Diazepam.
Walker told officers that it was not hers and she didn’t know where it came from, the report said.
Walker was charged with third-degree possession of controlled substance, drug unspecified, tampering with physical evidence and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense.She is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
