MADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/24/14) — As Kasen Creed continues to struggle with a rare liver disease known as Biliary Atresia, the 'Be a Hero for Kasen' Fundraiser Saturday, June 21 at Oasis in Madisonville was able to raise $4,000 to help the Creed family with medical expenses.
“What an absolutely amazing and successful day,” said Kasen’s grandmother Cathy Cravens-Bush. “We are so thankful to Mark from Oasis Southwest Grill and Shawn for heading the blessed day. Also, a big thank you to Roger, Chuck, Angie, Michelle, Dave, Travis Dukes and The Boys of Broad. Thank you to the many volunteers that worked the event, everyone who came out and supported this event, to our family, Katie Mason, Bryson Biliary Beads of Strength, my wonderful ESA sisters, my amazing friend Judie Risner, the auctioneers, the enormous amount of businesses that donated items to the auction and the many sponsors.”
Bush said the tireless work was a collective effort and appreciated.
“We cannot thank you all enough,” said Bush. “Most of all I want to thank my Lord Jesus Christ for the clear and beautiful weather, and for blessing our family with such wonderful people. You each hold a special place in our hearts. Love and hugs to each of you.”
Bush asked for the following to be included:
“Thanks to all the performers and special guests, Travis Dukes, The Boys of Broad, Bud’s Harley Davidson, PHI Helicopter, Shriner Clowns, Madisonville Police Department, Madisonville Fire Department, and a special thanks to all the sponsors, SurfKY News, S&S Rentals, Bud’s Harley Davidson, Oasis Southwest Grill, WFMW Classic Hit Country, 93.9 Power Rock, Show & Tell Want Ads, Family Video, Lowes Home Improvement, Stay Fit 24, Marco’s Pizza, Davis Motor Sales, McCay Chiropractor, Noel Event Rentals and Hopkins County for coming together and helping a child in need.”To stay up-to-date with Kasen’s Krusade, visit https://www.facebook.com/kasenskrusade.
