Reckless Driving, Pursuit Leads to Arrest

clark mug copyDAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (6/24/14) ― Dawson Springs Police attempted to stop a Ford Escort for reckless driving Monday, June 23.

According to a Dawson Springs Police report, Jeffery Wayne Clark, 42, Graham, fled through several residential neighborhoods at a high rate of speed before entering U.S. 62 headed west toward Caldwell County.

Officers were able to perform a rolling road block.

During the course of pursuit, Clark attempted to swerve into the opposing lane nearly striking a police cruiser.

Clark was charged with fleeing or evading the police (motor vehicle), disregarding a stop sign, wanton endangerment, first degree (police officer), wanton endangerment, first degree, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, failure to wear seatbelt, and failure of non-owner operator to maintain require insurance or security card, first offense.

He is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
