The city of Dawson Springs welcomed Advance Tabco, Inc., which is a stainless steel equipment manufacturer and distributor, to the community.
“We welcome Advance Tabco to Dawson Springs,” said Dawson Springs Mayor Jenny Sewell. “Not only will the company invest $500,000 in the local community, it will also create six important jobs to our county.”
Advance Tabco has been in business since 1929 and is the leading manufacturer of standard and high end stainless and aluminum food service equipment in the U.S. The company has more than 6,000 standard items in their catalog and has the technological capabilities for extensive customization.
Sewell said the company’s choice in location continues to prove Dawson Springs is strategically located and business friendly.
Advance Tabco purchased a 39,000-square-foot building off Kentucky 109. The plant will initially distribute kitchen equipment with a potential second phase that will incorporate a manufacturing product in Hopkins County. The company works closely with WEBstaurant Store, a restaurant supplier that was recruited to Madisonville in 2011.
“Everyone has been very welcoming,” said Ted Piazza, manufacturing operations manager. “The company was first founded back in 1929; and, in 1978, an expansion was started, and we now have six facilities around the country. This facility here is going to be a distribution point for us initially. We may expand to include some manufacturing, which will allow us greater reach to a lot of our customers in the midwest.”
