MPD Searching for Hit and Run Driver

hit run2MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/4/14) ― The Madisonville Police Department is searching for the driver of a pickup truck that allegedly struck a pedestrian at approximately 10:14 p.m. Thursday, July 3.

According to an MPD report, Johnathon M. Davis, 33, Madisonville, was walking north along Whittington Drive facing traffic when an older model, light-colored, extended-cab pickup truck headed south struck him.

The report said the pickup truck fled the scene leaving Davis on the roadside suffering from serious physical injuries. Medical Center ambulance responded and transported Davis to Baptist Health helipad from where he was transferred by medical helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind., the report said.

Police say the pickup truck wanted in connection with the incident will have damage to the passenger side front and also possibly along the passenger side. The truck might be silver or tan.
