MPD Responds to Fight, Drug Arrest Results

butlerJames Michael ButlerMADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/7/14) — Madisonville Police responded to an Arch Street residence in reference to a fight in progress Thursday, July 3.

According to the Madisonville Police report, when officers arrived at the residence, James Michael Butler, 22, Madisonville was observed walking into the residence and removing an item from his pocket, which was thrown behind a TV.

Butler was then detained, and a small container of meth and Lortab in a corner baggie were located behind the T.V. The report said the items were consistent with trafficking. Butler then became disruptive and began to shout profanities at officers, the report said.

Butler was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance, trafficking in controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
