Madisonville Man Arrested for Trespassing While Boycotting

respass-arrest-1MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/14/14) — Madisonville Police responded to a disturbance at the Technology Department at 1026 North Main Street, Madisonville, Saturday, July 12.

According to the Madisonville Police report, when officers arrived at the scene, Dana Eugene Classen Jr., 33, Madisonville crossed the street to the parking lot of the Church of Christ holding a sign urging a boycott against the Technology Department store.

Officers advised Classen that he was on private property and that he needed to leave. Classen then became argumentative with officers. Classen was warned several times that he was trespassing and needed to leave the property, the report said.

The report said Classen continued to argue with officers and then moved to the street and advised officers that he would continue boycotting from there. Officers also told Classen, that he was not allowed to boycott from the road.

Classen was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing.
