Riddle Insurance Inaugural Flight

14692604105 72d74b78fe z

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/19/14) — Riddle Insurance launched their new hot air balloon Saturday morning.  The inaugural flight piloted by Jimmy Riddle was picture perfect and was a check ride for Riddle to recertify his Hot Air Balloon Pilot’s License.  Brother and company president, Ches Riddle, termed the flight “Lucky, Lucky, Lucky” because the flight launched from the Madisonville Airport and landed in a field next to Jimmy Riddle’s house.

The image of Riddle Insurance has been a hot air balloon since the Riddle family launched their first balloon in 1981 with their name and logo.  Company president, Ches Riddle, told SurfKY News that they sold the balloon in 2001; but, he recently heard that their old balloon was still operational.

“For years we have been asked if we still have the balloon.” Riddle said “It was such a great marketing tool for our business, we (business partners Jimmy Riddle, and Skip McGaw) decided to get a new one”.

The new balloon was manufactured by Cameron Balloons www.cameronballoons.com  which is a world leader in balloon technology and manufacturing.

Ches Riddle will get his check ride tomorrow for recertification.  Skip McGaw will be getting his pilot’s license as well.  Skip will take a little longer “I’m starting from scratch” he said.
