MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/22/14) — Madisonville Police served an arrest warrant at a Choctaw Drive residence, that turned into more charges Monday, July 21.
According to the Madisonville Police report, Madisonville Police were advised from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office that Kami Rachelle Kembel, 39, Madisonville had an active warrant for unlawfully committing an offense of theft by unlawful taking (all other) greater than $500. Kembel allegedly participated in removing metal siding and roofing from an out building from the person she was renting from.
When officers made contact with Kembel, officers observed the front door was open and called out that the police were there. Officers then heard movement from behind the door, as officers peeked around to investigate; they saw Kembel behind the door in the corner.
Officers then advised her that she had an active warrant for her arrest. Kembel then began to yell and beat on the wall causing a disturbance. Family members then came into the room, which caused her to yell even louder and continued to scream as she was taken into custody, the report said.
Kembel was charged with theft by unlawful taking (all other) greater than $500 and disorderly conduct.She is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
