Fall Baseball League Registrations

baseball-kid-on-baseOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/23/14) — The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is taking registrations for Fall Baseball Leagues.

A machine pitch “Rookie” league (ages 7-8 year olds), a player pitch “Minor” league (ages 9-10) and a player pitch “Major” league (ages 11-12) will be offered. All age groups are as of May 1, 2015.

The registration fee is $52 per player and includes a team t-shirt and hat. The deadline to register is August 1.

The leagues will teach the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, throwing, catching, fielding and team sportsmanship.

League play will begin August 18. All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex, located in Jack C. Fisher Park on Monday or Tuesday evenings. Game times will be at either 5:30 or 6:45 p.m. for the machine pitch league, and 5:30 or 7:15 p.m. for the player pitch leagues.
