NORTONVILLE, Ky. (7/28/14) ― A juvenile passenger went to the hospital for possible injuries after the vehicle he was traveling in was sideswiped along the Pennyrile Parkway Saturday, July 26.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Tammy Stokes, 47, Nortonville, was driving a blue Suzuki Swift at 5:39 p.m. headed north on the Pennyrile while Marlon Brown, 35, Hopkinsville, was operating a silver Honda Accord also headed north.
The report said Stokes attempted to merge into the left lane with the intention of making a U turn at an approaching gravel area, when her vehicle side swiped Brown’s vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and strike a guardrail. Brown’s juvenile son was transported to Baptist Health for possible injuries sustained in the collision.
