According to a Madisonville Police report, officers were advised that an assault had taken place at the home of Chad Everett Taylor, 35, Madisonville, and that the victim was lying in a pool of blood.

When officers arrived, they were unable to find the body of the victim initially, but executed a search warrant to take pictures of the scene, blood splatter pattern and a mop and bucket with bloody water.
