According to a Madisonville Police report, officers were advised that an assault had taken place at the home of Chad Everett Taylor, 35, Madisonville, and that the victim was lying in a pool of blood.
When officers arrived, they were unable to find the body of the victim initially, but executed a search warrant to take pictures of the scene, blood splatter pattern and a mop and bucket with bloody water.
The following day, officers were able to locate the victim and initiate an interview. Other witnesses were also interviewed at different times.
The report said that Taylor allegedly held the victim against his will and refused to let him leave by threatening to shoot him. Taylor also allegedly struck the victim in the face two times during the incident causing pain and injury, with a police type nightstick, which is considered a deadly weapon, the report said.
Taylor was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first degree.He is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
