MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/5/14) — Madisonville Police responded to a complaint call at a Southland Court address Monday, Aug. 5.
According to the Madisonville Police report, officers were advised that the complaint call was a verbal altercation between a mother and daughter.
During the altercation, the mother, Christine Elizabeth Britt, 42, Madisonville was asked by the victim to leave the residence. Britt then knocked a phone out of the victim's hand and attempted to take a puppy that belonged to the victim. As the victim pushed Britt away, the puppy ran to Britt’s car. The victim then tried to retrieve the puppy, when Britt pushed her, causing her to fall and land on her stomach, the report said.
Officers were also advised that the victim was 15-weeks pregnant. The victim received minor cuts and scrapes on her hands and feet. Britt left the scene before police arrived, but was later located at her residence and was arrested without incident, the report said.
Britt was charged with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence with minor injuries.She is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
