MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/13/14) — After 15 years of service to the citizens of Madisonville, Codes Enforcement Officer Sue Jones is announcing that she will retire Aug. 31, 2014.

Prior to her appointment as Codes Enforcement Officer, Sue served 8 years under Mayor Karen Cunningham as her Executive Administrative Assistant.

During her tenure she has been responsible for overseeing the removal of over 475 structures and the removal of approximately 250 abandoned vehicles. Sue stated, "I have enjoyed working with the citizens of Madisonville and educating them on city ordinances". In addition, she stated, "I would like to thank the citizens of Madisonville for working with me to improve the community throughout the past seven years".

Mayor Jackson said, "I appreciate the hard work and professionalism that Sue has brought to the position over the past 7 years as Codes Enforcement Officer. Her dedication and commitment have truly improved our community".

Tracy Logan will be appointed to the position of Codes Enforcement Officer. Logan's position will become effective Sept. 1, 2014. He has worked with the City of Madisonville for the last 14 years as a construction inspector in the Engineering Department. Tracy said, "I am very excited and hope to build on the previous accomplishments of the Codes Enforcement Department."
