BEULAH, Ky. (8/25/14) ― Two Dawson Springs residents were injured during a two-vehicle collision Monday, Aug. 25 near Beulah.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Agusta Hallum, 35, Dawson Springs, was driving a 1997 Oldsmobile Regency north on Kentucky 109 while Kandy Cotton, 39, Dawson Springs, was driving a 1998 Jimmy also headed north on Kentucky 109 behind Hallum's vehicle.
The report said as Hallum was slowing for traffic, her vehicle was rear-ended by Cotton's vehicle at about 10:26 a.m. Both vehicles came to rest off the northbound shoulder of the roadway.
Cotton was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. Hallum was not injured, however, her passenger, Christopher Hallum, 37, Dawson Springs, was transported by PHI Air Medical to St. Mary's for treatment. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
Trooper Ben Sawyer investigated the collision. He was assisted at the scene by the Charleston Volunteer Fire Department and Medical Center Ambulance Service.
