Accident Injury 01 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/26/14) ― Two people were injured during a two-vehicle collision West Noel Avenue between  Ada Lane and Wyatt Avenue Tuesday, Aug. 26 in Madisonville.

According to Madisonville Police report, Brittany L. Davis, 21, Crofton, told police that as she was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass headed west on West Noel Avenue at 7:58 a.m., when she fell asleep, exited the right side of the road. Her vehicle then struck a concert culvert. The vehicle continued traveling across a driveway, struck a mailbox and an embankment, which caused the vehicle to overturn.

The report said when officers arrived, they found her passenger, Larry L. Dukes, 52, trapped upside down and suspended by his seatbelt. Officers and a witness, Glenn Upchurch, crawled into the vehicle and were able to free Dukes.

The Madisonville Fire Department and Medical Center Ambulance Service provided medical assistance on the scene. Both Davis and Dukes were transported to Baptist Health Emergency by Medical Center Ambulance Service.
