Muhlenberg Job Corps – Above and Beyond Employee

Christian-Mancilla-AB--8.2(lr) Eric Jones, Center Director, Christian Mancilla, SGA Coordinator, Ashley Knight, HR Manager

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (9/3/14) — The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center would like to recognize Mr. Cristian Mancilla as the quarterly above and beyond outstanding employee.

Mancilla began his employment with the Center on May 3, 2006 and currently serves as the Student Government Association advisor. He has been an exemplary employee in the execution of his daily duties and has been thrust into the breach many times over the last several months filling in for his manager for several weeks while he was out dealing with family tragedies. Each time he excelled in running the department and making sure the critical daily tasks were completed with care and attention to detail.

Above the aforementioned meritorious acts he carried out while in the stead of the Manager, he did this while a critical end of contract corporate office assessment was taking place. He handled the preparation for the assessment and provided an overview of the department's highlights and challenges during the brief in, and provided more detail during interviews with the assessors.

Cristian Mancilla accomplished this feat by the sweat of his brow and putting in long hours every day. He ran the department in times of extraordinary adversity in a high stress time and did a great job. His job performance is absolutely outstanding and is more than deserving of this Above & Beyond recognition.

The Muhlenberg job Corps Center is a free career training educational facility for low income individuals ages 17-24. Individuals can train and earn certifications in health career and heavy industry fields.

For more information about the Job Corps program, or to schedule a tour of the campus, call Karen Robinson, Business Community Liaison at (270) 377-3269.
